-TULONG DIN SA MGA DRAYBER NG KOLORUM NA PAMASADANG MGA SASAKYAN, IMINUNGKAHI

Iminungkahi ni ACT-CIS Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) na tulungan din ang driver ng mga kolorum na sasakyan o sasakyang ipinapasada nang iligal.

Sinabi ni Tulfo na maaaring alisin ng DOTr ang requirement nito na naglilimita sa mga driver na maaaring tulungan.

(“This issue has been a key stumbling [block] on the implementation of social safety nets for transport workers even before the pandemic,” sabi ni Tulfo.)

Ipinanukala ni Tulfo na gayahin ng DOTr ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na nagbawas ng requirement upang mas maraming empleyado ang matulungan.

Noong una ay marami umanong kompanya ang natatakot na sumali sa programa ng DOLE dahil baka matukoy na mayroon silang mga paglabag sa labor law.

(“The DOLE stance is the proper stance which the DOTR is unable to adopt because of legal constraints, so therefore the solution is to bypass those legal constraints by enabling drivers of colorum units to also be eligible for cash aid and Pantawid Pasada,” sabi ni Tulfo.)

Sinabi ni Tulfo na maaaring magtulong ang DOLE at DOTr upang matulungan ang mga driver ng kolorum na sasakyan.
